NexScale Hosts Private Founder Roundtable for Boutique Fitness and Wellness Operators in Montreal

NexScale Team
Marketing & Communications
As spring approaches, NexScale will host a private gathering in Montreal on March 19, 2026, bringing together a curated group of boutique fitness and wellness studio operators to exchange ideas and reflect on one of the most important challenges many founders face today: member retention and founder burnout.
The event will bring together a small group of studio founders and operators who are actively shaping the future of boutique wellness experiences.
A Conversation Among Operators
Rather than a traditional event or presentation, this roundtable is designed as a peer conversation among operators.
Running a boutique fitness or wellness studio often requires balancing community leadership, operational demands, and business sustainability. Many founders carry these responsibilities with small teams while striving to maintain the culture and energy that make their studios special.
This gathering aims to create space for studio owners to step away from the day-to-day, connect with fellow founders, and exchange perspectives on challenges they are navigating.
Topics expected to be explored during the discussion include:
What truly drives long-term member retention in boutique fitness studios
How operators create a strong sense of belonging among their members
The realities of founder burnout and how studio leaders manage it
Lessons learned while building sustainable wellness communities
By bringing together founders from different studio concepts and disciplines, the goal is to encourage open and honest conversations about what works, what remains challenging, and how operators can support one another as the industry evolves.
Hosted by Soodeh Farokhi and Matt Golt
The roundtable will be hosted by Soodeh Farokhi, Founder and CEO of NexScale, and Matt Golt, Product & Growth Lead at NexScale.
Soodeh is a serial tech entrepreneur and product leader with over 17 years of experience building and scaling software companies. She is a wellbeing enthusiast and community builder, passionate about the role that wellness communities play in improving people’s quality of life. Through NexScale, her mission is to support the people behind wellness businesses and to help strengthen the communities they build. Her long-term vision is simple: when wellness businesses thrive, healthier and longer lives become possible for more people.
Matt brings deep industry experience as a former boutique fitness studio owner and operator, with firsthand understanding of the operational realities studio founders face. His experience running studios and working closely with operators gives him a grounded perspective on the importance of strong communities and sustainable studio operations.
Together, Soodeh and Matt care deeply about creating spaces where founders can connect, learn from one another, and support each other through the challenges of building community-driven businesses.
A Curated Gathering for Studio Founders
The evening will remain intentionally small to encourage meaningful conversation and genuine connection between participants.
Guests will enjoy healthy bites, drinks, music, and a relaxed environment while connecting with other growth-minded operators in the Montreal wellness ecosystem.
More than anything, the goal of the evening is simple: bring together thoughtful founders who care about the people and communities they serve.
Join the Roundtable
The Montreal Boutique Fitness Founder Roundtable will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Griffintown, Montreal.
This gathering is intentionally designed to remain small and curated, allowing for meaningful conversation among studio founders and operators. For this reason, seats are intentionally limited and participation is by invitation only.
