We are proud to announce that NexScale has been awarded a $75,000 grant from Mitacs, in partnership with George Brown Polytechnic, to support 10 graduate student internships joining our team.

This is an important milestone for our company, and a meaningful step forward in the mission we are building toward:

The partnership behind the grant

Mitacs is Canada’s leading program connecting academic talent with industry. This grant represents more than funding. It reflects confidence in the direction we are taking and the work we are building.

George Brown Polytechnic is one of Toronto’s leading institutions for applied education. Its graduates bring strong practical skills and problem-solving capabilities that align closely with our needs. This partnership gives us access to high-caliber talent while offering students the opportunity to work on real-world problems in AI, wellness, and go-to-market strategy.

Together, NexScale, Mitacs, and George Brown Polytechnic are contributing to a stronger connection between academia and industry, supporting meaningful innovation in Canada.

Where the interns will focus

The incoming cohort will work directly with our core teams on production-level challenges across three areas:

Software Engineering
Building the platform used by wellness and fitness operators across North America. This includes infrastructure, tooling, and product capabilities that support scale and reliability.

AI & Data Science
Advancing the intelligence layer behind our platform. The focus is on transforming behavioural and operational data into predictive and actionable insights that support long-term outcomes.

Sales & Marketing
Strengthening our go-to-market engine. This includes refining positioning, expanding reach, and ensuring that our solutions effectively reach the operators who need them.
