On September 27, 2026, The Collective, a fitness industry community and media platform, published a market map of 23 companies building AI for fitness operators. The map came out of conversations at HFA and covers the full member journey, from lead conversion and member retention to scheduling, workforce and coaching delivery.
NexScale™ is one of the AI vendors on the map. The Collective describes it as an "AI retention layer on top of the CRM that flags at-risk members and runs follow-up."
What the map shows
Most of the AI in fitness today helps studios and clubs win new members, coach them, or schedule them. Far less of it helps keep them. Yet member retention is where studio profit is won or lost.
The next shift is from insight to action. Operators do not need another churn score. They need a retention system that acts before a member walks away.
Where NexScale fits
NexScale brings retention intelligence to the CRM an operator already runs, without replacing it. It finds the members who are slipping away weeks before they cancel. Then it acts: a personal message in the studio's own voice, sent with the operator's approval, with every follow-up tracked and reported back.
That is what AI for member retention should look like: less time reading dashboards, and more members who stay.
Thank you to The Collective
Thank you to The Collective for building this map and for keeping it open to updates every month. Clear maps like this help operators make sense of a fast-moving AI for FitTech market.
